What is Wombat?
Wombats are marsupials that live in the hilly regions of Australia, and females have baby sacs in the abdomen like kangaroos and koalas. The body is sturdy, the limbs are short, and the forelimbs and hindlimbs are about the same length. The body color is gray or grayish ocher, and in addition to black, the hair is short and coarse.
In addition to grasslands, hilly areas, open forests, mountains, coastal areas, and deserts with shrubs, it inhabits a wide range of areas up to an altitude of 1800 m.
Usually, they live alone and are mainly nocturnal and start their activities at dusk. However, sometimes they are active during the day, and in cold weather, they come out of their burrows and sunbathe during the day.
A newborn child weighs only 0.5 g, is about 5 mm long, has closed eyes and no hair.
It grows in the baby sac for about 5 to 6 months when hair grows, and it crawls out of the bag when the weight reaches 3 to 6 kg.
