What is Japanese white-eye?
Total length 39 cm. The whole is grayish black and the forehead and beak are white. The legs are greenish blue. The "cuit" white-eye is about 12 cm long and is actually a smaller bird than the sparrow.
Even if you widen the wings to the maximum, it is about 18 cm on average, so it can be said that it is a rather small size.
The face to back is green, the abdomen is grayish, and the wings are blackish brown.
When it comes to Japanese white-eye, the image of green is strong, but in reality there are considerable color differences depending on the parts.
Basically, there is no big difference in color between male and female, but there is a slight difference.
Males have a stronger yellow tint on the lower part of the face and at the base of their wings than the female.
Another characteristic of males is the yellow line around the center of their abdomen.
