What is Prairie Dog?
It lives in open grasslands such as Chihuahua in northern Mexico, from Saskatchewan in Canada to North Dakota, Montana, Wyoming in the United States to New Mexico and Texas. It is about 30-40cm in length, and the hair color is roughly light brown. It is unusual in the squirrel family, and it lives in a big crowd. The male is about once bigger, and the hair grows twice a year. They act during the day, but avoid the heat during the day and active lye in the morning and evening. Prairie dogs don't hibernate, but they often stay in burrows in winter when temperatures drop.
